Here at Cheap Dish Pizza, we enjoy things that are….well….cheap. And, in the pursuit of knowledge and driving entertainment, what is the most affordable way to procure books, music, and movies?
WHY, WITH A LIBRARY CARD, OF COURSE!
So, today I moseyed on over to the Lincoln Park Public Library and registered for that little plastic piece of heaven.
To register, just bring your driver’s license with a Chicago address (or two pieces of mail that prove your current residence is in the city) and fill out a form provided by the library. All in all, a pretty easy and painless process!
When I was registering for my card, the librarian told me about a very exciting (and free!) deal that the library has with the city’s museums. It’s called Kraft Great Kids Museum Program, and it is basically a loan program for museum tickets. Free passes to all of Chicago’s museums? Yes, please.
