Until recently, the idea of making my own pizza seemed scary and complex. That was, until I discovered Trader Joe’s ready to bake pizza dough. Less than $2 a package, this delicious crust is easy to work with and goes well with almost any topping. For a summery twist on this American staple food, I switched out the tomato sauce for BBQ, and topped it with fresh avocado slices. This is a simple recipe that will be sure to impress your guests!

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s annual Keys to the City Festival kicked off today. While there are many exciting things happening throughout this two-week celebration, we are most looking forward to Chicago Piano Day (Sunday, May 27th).
